BULLET CATEGORIES

Here we explain briefly the various categories or types of bullets we make.

Bulldozer (BD-2) & Super Bulldozers (SBD-2): These bullets are expanding high BC bullets intended for hunting. They are the second generation, sporting a proprietary ogival shape that not only improves BC over the first generaion Bulldozers, but also lowers expansion velocity to 1700 fps. They have a broached hollow ogive with stress lines to facilitate petaling, with the hollow housing a machined tip that contains the meplat that improves BC. These are designed for both short range and long range hunting of big game with retained energy and penetration second to no other bullets in the industry regardless of design. The Super Bulldozers have longer ogives and the highest BCs. They do require tighter twist rates to stabilize them. Whether Bulldozer or Super Bulldozer, one can be assured of shooting the highest BC hunting bullet with the widest performane envelope available in that weight category. In addition the heavier .308, .338 and .375 SBD-2 bullets can be used for steel target shooting as the aluminum tip sparks when hitting steel, thus giving the shooter the location of the impact on the steel.

ICBM-2 and SICBM-2: These bullets are not tipped and don’t expand and are not used for hunting. They are completely solid and heavier than Bulldozers, higher in BC and intended for extreme long rang (ELR) steel or paper target shooting only. They will not spark as there is no aluminum tip, but have the highest BC attainable.

ELR Bullets: This category includes bullets of varying designs which include bore riders, tipped bore riders and bullets whose designs were made by customers that performed particularly well as ELR target bullets. None of these bullets are hunting bullets and we recommend against their use for this purpose as they will pencil through and not expand.
